The Food Bank of Northern Nevada has announced the July Mobile Harvest Schedule. In order to serve those in need while taking necessary novel coronavirus safety precautions, Mobile Harvest is now a drive through model. Mobile Harvest is a program that allows families to have access to fresh foods like fruits and vegetables.
These changes are to ensure safe social distancing protocols and to limit congregation sizes whenever possible.
To accommodate those who do not have a vehicle, the Food Bank has a walk up distribution option at Mobile Harvest sites but asks those on foot to maintain safe social distancing margins. The distribution times for some of the Mobile Harvest locations will be extended to allow for the drive through model.
The Food Bank of Northern Nevada is asking those who will attend a Mobile Harvest distribution to start the process by filling out the pre-registration form. Additional information will also be required at the distribution.
The Food Bank of Northern Nevada is working closely with community partners to ensure that children, their families, and other neighbors in need of food assistance are able to access the resources they need during this uncertain time. If households are in need of help, they are encouraged visit the Get Help section of FBNN.org to find the distributions closest to them or to call the Food Bank at 775-331-3663.
