For a few days last week, several blocks of Virginia Street through downtown Reno were blocked off for the 33rd annual Hot August Nights festival. The streets were lined with an array of makes and models of exquisitely cared for cars manufactured before 1979. According to organizers, some 6,000 vehicles were registered for this year’s gathering. Maribel Cuervo and Brian Bahouth toured the “show and shine” event on Saturday in downtown Reno and file the following photo essay.
