Nevada Governor Sisolak nixes popular vote bill

Carson City – Today, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak vetoed AB186, a measure that would have added Nevada to the Agreement Among the States to Elect the President by National Popular Vote.

The National Popular Vote bill has been adopted by 15 jurisdictions representing 189 electoral votes. The Agreement is intended to ensure that the the person elected President of the United States also received the most popular votes across all 50 states.
